
Zhanna Wohl (MMus, BMus)
Meet Zhanna, a highly experienced professional pianist, organist, and music instructor with over 35 years of experience.
She has dedicated life to music and joined a Special Music School (Russia) where she was in a musical program for 7 years. After she studied for 4 years in the Classical Department in the State Aktyubinsk Music College and obtained a diploma. Zhanna then went on to earn a Master of Music degree in Education and Performance from Guriev State University of Culture and Art (Russia).

Her music education is based on enhancing the cognitive and affective aspects of playing, which include active listening critical thinking, and visualizing emotionally vivid images, which she incorporates into her teaching and performances.

Experience & Accomplishments

She has worked as an accompanist for soloists, chamber orchestras, and choirs in various places, including WLU from 1995-1996

Since 1996, she has opened her own music studio and also has been working as an organist and choir director.

Zhanna's passion for music has taken her to perform at prestigious venues such as Centre in the Square (Kitchener), Ford Centre (Toronto), and Evangelical Lutheran Church (Hamburg, Germany).

Piano
Offer private piano lessons for students of all ages, from early childhood to adulthood. With Zhanna's experience, she is able to guide students through the Kiwanis Music Festival and RCM Examinations, helping them to achieve their musical goals. The school offers classes from 30 minutes to 1 hour, to meet the unique needs of each student.

Vocal
Zhanna offers vocal lessons that cater to all age groups. With her expert guidance, you can prepare for auditions and participate in festivals. A wide range music genres is covered including pop classical and traditional.

Theory
Studying music theory is crucial for a comprehensive musical education, as it provides practical training and elevates a student's musical growth. The Royal Conservatory's theory curriculum is a structured and effective approach to developing musical literacy, and is highly recommended at all levels. Zhanna collaborates with students to provide guidance on theory and offer explanations on specific concepts.

Accomplishments
Zhanna takes great pride in the accomplishments of her students, many of whom have received numerous awards, pursued higher education in music, and chosen music as their career path.
Zhanna is proud to showcase two of those students, Andrei and Grace, who have achieved great success under her guidance.
Andrei, who has been with her since he was 4 years old, has passed his audition to Wilfrid Laurier University and is now pursuing his Bachelor of Music with a specialization in classical music. Meanwhile, Grace, a Grade 2 student, has already participated in the Kiwanis Festival and is continuously improving her skills.
