Meet Zhanna
I am a highly experienced professional pianist, organist, and music instructor with over 35 years of experience. I have dedicated my life to music, starting at a Special Music School in Russia, where I spent seven years in a musical program.
After that, I studied for four in the Classical Department at the State Aktyubinsk Music College and earned my diploma. I then went to earn a Master of Music degree in Education and Performance from Guriev State University of Culture and Art in Russia.
My music education focuses on enhancing cognitive and emotional aspects of playing, including active listening, critical thinking, and visualizing emotionally vivid images, which I incorporate into my teaching and performances.
Experience & Accomplishments
I have worked as an accompanist for soloists, chamber orchestras, and choirs in various places, including WLU from 1995 to 1996. Since 1996, I have opened my own music studio and have also been working as an organist and choir director. My passion for music has taken me to perform at prestigious venues such as Centre in the Square (Kitchener), Ford Centre (Toronto), and Evangelical Lutheran Church (Hamburg, Germany).
